The most important of these links is: www.williamhaslam.org. On this independent website there are discussion groups, and a place for people to pose questions and share their views and discoveries with other Haslam enthusiasts. A real goldmine. Be prepared to put time aside to follow all the threads!

The St Piran Trust: www.st-piran.com/main.htm. “The St Piran Trust is a non-profit-making charitable Trust which is committed to the development, protection and good administration of the historic sites on Gear Sands connected with St Piran.” (Quote from the Trust’s interesting and well-illustrated site.)

Robert Aitken, vicar of Pendeen, who helped Haslam at Baldhu:

Note the spelling methdism.

The website for Highland Books is www.highlandbks.com

Copies of second-hand books relating to William Haslam, Perranzabuloe and almost any area of interest for anyone wanting more information on the subjects covered in this book can be found through these sites:

www.usedbooksearch.co.uk, www.abebooks.co.uk,

(and www.abebooks.com for outside the UK.) I have found that using abebooks in advanced search mode can come up with more titles than usedbooksearch, useful though that site is. Searching for variations of “Rev William Haslam” “Haslam William” and so on, or even using just a keyword and no author, can sometimes produce more results than adding the title, since not all booksellers use a correct author’s name or book title.
